Edwin Hatch was born this date, 9/4/1835 at Derby, England. He was educated at Birmingham and Oxford, was ordained in England, but later taught in Canada. He produced a Concordance to the Septuagint which listed every word in the Greek text. He is better remembered perhaps by “Breathe on me, breath of God,” Hatch died 11/10/ 1889 at Headington, Oxfordshire, England.
