We ALL lose “the world.” The repentant sinner loses “the world” at his place of salvation.
The un-repentant dying sinner loses “the world” as it is pried from his/her cold, clasping fingers.
O, Please, Sir, Ma’am, lose it the first way (not the second). “Good bye, old world.”
