Headed to home

I’m the last of four

with a 6 yr+ gap to my only brother. As I look back I realized Mom was very trusting considering this spacing and I was her “baby.” She allowed me to roam and later roam much farther. When 4-5 I was on a high bank looking down to the creek below when I saw a groundhog. He was big and he headed toward me! I made tracks toward my house. Later I realized (with little doubt) he was headed up the bank toward his house and was perhaps as scared of me as I was of him. Sometimes circumstances which frighten us are not as bad as they look. That other being (teacher/boss/other) which concerned us may also have not fully understood and been equally befuddled.
