“Only Trust Him”

Come, every soul by sin oppressed;
There’s mercy with the Lord,
And He will surely give you rest
By trusting in His Word.

Refrain

Only trust Him, only trust Him,
Only trust Him now;
He will save you, He will save you,
He will save you now.

2.

For Jesus shed His precious blood
Rich blessings to bestow;
Plunge now into the crimson flood
That washes white as snow.

3.

Yes, Jesus is the truth, the way,
That leads you into rest;
Believe in Him without delay
And you are fully blessed.

4.

Come, then, and join this holy band,
And on to glory go
To dwell in that celestial land
Where joys immortal flow.

5.

O Jesus, blessèd Jesus, dear,
I’m coming now to Thee;
Since Thou hast made the way so clear
And full salvation free.

1st stanza

Strong Son of God, immortal love,

By faith, and faith alone, embrace,
Believing where we cannot prove.

(from my Bible Reading Chart)

The Bible, that most ancient and infallible source of wisdom is the only proper basis for an education.  Its historical authenticity, grammatical influence, mathematical precision, scientific validity and literary forms all prove the truth of the above statement from merely an earth-life view.  Much more important however, are the spiritual lessons of this great Text.

No man can consider himself educated who hasn’t diligently and systematically combed its pages.  Conversely the man who has studied its morals, learned its maxims, and endeavored to follow its pattern of truth has (to the degree in which he devoted himself) received a sound preparation for life, both mortal and immortal.
