Thirty-seven years ago the Lord gave me a song –

            “The closing of this present age

            Must be very near indeed.

            Look around you, read your Bible;

            Understand it and take heed.”          (leading four lines of stanza four)

Obviously, we are 37 years closer to that closing than its penning. 

More has passed, however, than mere years. 


Men who should love the Father (God), love themselves (wish I could say all such rascals are in WDC – I can’t).  

Men who should love Family (God’s “invention”), love fickle infatuations. 

Men who should love freedom of speech, worship, etc. have chosen money over moral action, low security over spiritual heights.

There has never been a better time to read/understand the Bible.


As pastor I feel I walk a narrow trail. There is danger of “preaching” too much warning (it is biblical to sound the trumpet – Eze 33.4 example) and not giving enough food. Conversely there is danger of too much “encouraging” and “warm fuzzes” and our congregation being blind-sided by a the one-world church and its unholy affiliation with the impending new world (one world) order.


Today is the traditional “Palm Sunday.” Supposedly this marks the time Jesus rode a road into Jerusalem to the “cheers” of a crowd.  Before the week was out part of that same crowd gave “jeers.” 


The world was no friend to our greatest Friend and it is no friend to us. Heaven awaits the faithful saint.  May we press toward heaven as never before.  Someday we’ll flee a fleeting, failing world and heaven will be our happy home.
