Luk 1.37

“For with God

nothing shall be impossible.”

“Our main doctrines which include all the rest

are repentance, faith, and holiness.”

– John Wesley, quoted by Able Stevens

Act 17.24 GOD that MADE the World and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples MADE with hands; – God made Heaven, Earth, World # 36

“Luther declares that ‘he who hath not assurance spews faith out’ & Melancthon…

‘assurance is the discriminating line of Christianity from heathenism.’”

– quoted by Able Stevens

Above Sin

Wonderful to live above sin,

That used to dwell and rule within.

Gone are anger, jealousy, and pride;

Gone since the day carnality died.

Guard, God, that these don’t live again.

– eab, Jan 2016

Psa 119.11

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart,

that I might not sin against thee.”

We’re probably living in the generation of least Bible memorization for centuries. Many a previous saint made it a practice to commit a verse (or verses) of God’s book to memory every-so-often. It was a comfort to them. They leaned upon Its promises. They had Scripture verses on the house walls & on their “heart walls.” How about you, Brother? How about you, Sister? Are you memorizing Scripture?

– eab, 1/28/19

“The separation can be so complete that the Lord can pass His hand entirely around you & never strike a bond as big as a cobweb to anybody or anything.”

– T M Anderson

Let me encourage you to read from both the OT & the NT. The late Bill McChesney (missionary killed in the Congo, 11/25/1964) made it his practice to read the OT through once a year & the NT once a month. That may not be your balance but find a system that the Spirit underscores to your heart & follow it – Religiously! – eab, 1/28/19

“You can no more undo the records of yesterday

than you can outchase & outrun your shadow.”

– T M Anderson
