Mat 3.17

“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, ‘This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’”

“Imagination, highly promoted, because of bold excursion into forbidden realms, leads legions of vain thoughts & vainer fancies against the King of kings.”

Pro 8.26 While as yet he had not MADE the Earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the World.              – God made Heaven, Earth, World # 19

“Man was not created as the masses seem to think, to make money but to mind his Maker, & He alone knows just how much of this world’s goods is best for him.”

– M W Knapp

Heaven is up, hell is always down;

In Scripture that’s where they’re found.

God’s worlds are perpendicular.

The devil said he walked “to & fro”

(Is that how he dreams he’ll always go?

Or, at least, somewhat circular?)

Never forget that satan fell

Which rhymes perfectly with hell;

Where he’s soon bound to land.

But, saints, heaven’s up on high

Where we’ll fly bye & bye!

Won’t that be deliciously grand?

“for Bulletin, ‘It will help the minister in his preaching if the members of the congregation will read the Gospel of Mark at Family Altar & in private devotions…’”

Psa 33.8

“Let all the earth fear the LORD:

let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.”

Has the fad of saying “awesome” or “that’s totally awesome” passed enough I may raise a flag? It’s been out of place (IMO) applied to secular things. “Awe” is in 1.) “Stand in awe & sin not…”(Psa 4.4); “Lord” is in both v3 & v5. 2.) “…Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him”(Psa 33.8); him is “Lord.” 3.) “…My heart standeth in awe of thy word”(Psa 119.161). God is truly AWESOME. I hate to see a word applicable to Him, used otherwise. P.S. Does anyone know what prompted “it” to be commonly used?

“One is tempted to have three little introductions before one starts to preach. But it is a safe rule to have only one front porch for any one house.”

– Andrew W Blackwood

God’s worlds are Perpendicular. He’s up, His Son came down, rose Up, went Up, will come back down.

Men are down but can go Up or sadly down. (God is allowing us a choice to be Up with Him or not.)

The devil was Up, is down, is going farther down “bottomless pit” (Rev 20.3) & will be down forever.
