“The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff

which the wind driveth away.”

“Let us, therefore, foresake the vanity of the crowd & their false teachings

& turn back to the word delivered to us from the beginning.”

– Polycarp

Someday you will post your last post (pic, meme, personal commentary). It could be today. Why not make what you post today one that glorifies God, exults the Son of God, & can receive the blessing of the Spirit of God. Today’s could be the post for which you’ll be remembered. Amen?!? Ouch!?! – 7/30/20

“That which I have preached I will seal with my blood.” Sheriff, “Thou art a heretic.” Rogers responded, “That shall be known at the Day of Judgment.” Sheriff, “I will never pray for thee.”

“But I will pray for you” Rogers responded,

Please do not use “the crusades” as an excuse, if you’re leaning toward “its my christian duty to fight.” From what I’ve read about those charades, they were almost anything-but-christian. “What would Jesus do?” may’ve been over-used or you may consider it trite but if you think Jesus killed to “defend His rights” or some land you’re reading a different NT (New Testament) than I am. Don’t let anyone talk you into killing anyone. – 8/4/20

Carnivals, fairs, the circus, the race

At such worldly spots the saint has no place.

They titillate, they engage the carnal mind;

Gladly Believers leave them far behind,

As they employee & enjoy, heavenly grace.

One of my children once said, “I can ask my dad/daddy [whichever they said] anything.” I felt complimented. Better yet, I see a parallel. You & I can ask our Heavenly Father anything. I do not always have an answer for my child, but God always has *The Right* answer for us!

Are you talking to God every day? – 8/4/20

“Nothing is more pernicious than sophistry [subtly deceptive reasoning]

we are by nature prone to believe lies rather than truth.”

– Martin Luther

Jer 33.3

“Call unto me & I will answer thee & show thee great

& mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

HOME SCHOOL The devil would like you to run from it. He doesn’t want you, as a Christian, having that much influence on your child. If there is anyone, & I mean anyone, who should be influencing a child it’s HIS godly parent, i.e. you. So – – – ask the Lord for wisdom (“If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally…”Jas 1.5) where to start & then start. You don’t have to know *now* what you’ll do every day. You don’t have to know *now* exactly where you’ll be come May. You teach your child AND, at the same time, allow God to teach you. Have a great journey! – 8/5/20

“Tis by our quarrels that we spoil our prayers”
