Psa 1.6

“…the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

Parents, let me ask a pointed question – are you teaching the Bible to your child? Yes? Thank you & thank God. No? Even if you aren’t yet a believer, you can introduce your child to Classic Bible stories: Creation, The Prodigal Son, Noah’s ark, The feeding of the 5000, etc. Paul wrote to Timothy “…that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures…” 2Ti 3.15. What a heritage Timothy had. I encourage you – make your child another “Timothy”!

“Forgive. Why?  So you can live.”

Who is the man you quote? Unless you’re using a “quote source” (there’re several) he’s probably someone you are reading or have read & “highlighted.” Your repeating of his words reflects a degree of approval of his words -a-n-d-  may (to some readers) suggest an approval of his life-style. Should you quote him?

For Him

They filled the water pots

All the way to the brim.

For Whom? For Him.

Zacchaeus had heard lots

He want out on a limb.

For Whom? For Him.

They laid aside their “jots”

And “tittles,” all so slim.

For Whom? For Him.

They brought their little tots,

A blessing is no mere whim.

From Whom? From Him.

Man’s world’s no more than dots,

Man eyes no longer dim.

From Whom? From Him.

A leper no more rots,

Hopes are no longer slim

From Whom? From Him.

The first miracle? Pots.

Vitality and vim?

– – – All from God’s Him.

Joh 3.7

“…Ye must be born again.”

Modernity has encouraged pastors & other church leaders to give new people jobs “so you can keep them” (before they are Born Again or established). Please ask yourself “what would Jesus do?” Getting people busy in a church may keep them there, but actually make it harder for them to see their need of redemption – may actually hinder them getting into His Kingdom.

“It is the joyous privilege of the man in the pulpit to see the hidden things of God

and then show them to the man in the pew.”

– Andrew W Blackwood, /Preaching Fr. the Bible/
