Rom 12. 2

“…Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind

that ye may prove what is that good & acceptable & perfect, will of God.”

“He is a pilgrim on earth but an enrolled citizen on high…He is the reflection of the Father & the temple of the Holy Ghost…His nature is from Heaven & his name from Antioch.”

– Andrew Johnson

“I don’t see anything wrong with ‘x’ now; I once thought it sinful perhaps, but times have changed.” Light – literal & spiritual – is necessary to distinguish between colors, shapes, value, & maybe even motion. If you have light you can see that ‘x’ is wrong. When light is missing you cannot make proper judgments of right from wrong. Come back. Beg God to bring you back to the light. Heaven will be full of light – learn to love it. Hell will be dark, Dark, DARK. Flee darkness. – 4/24/20

“One can’t be sinning & born of God at the same time.

That is the law of truth.”

– Andrew Johnson

The thief looking sideways could see

*That Face* did not “go with” that tree.

It took all he could muster.

These last words to utter.

“When Thy kingdom comes remember me.” Luk 23

A parent does not want His/her child to be hurt so warns or restricts them from certain activities. Is God less of a Parent than some human? Never! If He’s warning you today to stay away from a certain business, a certain school, a certain “friend” & yes, even a certain church or cult, PLEASE listen, O, please listen. God loves you & doesn’t want you to get hurt or even die spiritually. Obey Him. Obey what my Dad would have called, “The checks of the Spirit.”- 4/26/20

“Abraham’s education…was a sacrifice of every earthly good, means of support, prospective sheikship & going into exile, a complete surrender to God.”

– Henry W Warren

Luk 6.27

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies,

do good to them which hate you”

“Mohammed represented angels so large that it would take a bird seventy-nine thousand years to fly from one ear to the other.”

[Perhaps-tongue in cheek- this is where modern pseudo scientists “learned” to wow with big numbers.-eab]

– Henry W Warren

You hate somebody? You admit to having hatred in your heart? Allow me to say, “I’m sorry for whatever ‘ticked you off,’ whatever pulled your anger trigger.” But there is something that’s worse than what made you mad. “Pray tell, What’s that?” – the fact you have inside you such feelings. Jesus died that you can be saved from sin; He also died that you can have the carnal nature removed. You DO NOT have to hate anyone – – – no matter what they do to you or “yours.” 4/26/20

Rom 12.2

“…Be not conformed to this world: but

be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

“This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through

My treasures are laid up, Somewhere beyond the blue.

The angels beckon me, From heaven’s open door

And I can’t feel at home, In this world anymore.” – Jim Reeves (song we used to sing)

*Whether you are for Trump or against him please, PLEASE remember the above words!*

“Faith…that mysterious hand by which the holy soul clings to God amid temptation

and so is kept from sin.”

– R S Foster, /Christian Perfection/

Church is a bit like a restaurant. The Pastor is the “cook” & serves up well prayed/well prepared meals or opens a “canned sermon.” The people create the “setting/atmosphere.” Folks will travel miles to eat with a view: mountain scene, beach, etc. though the meal may be so-so. Or people will drive a distance to taste the creations of a “cook” though the atmosphere is not great. The best is a combination of great “cooking” & friendly, praying people. Hope you have a good “restaurant.”

Greatest Builder vs G C

Men will trust a fellow-man

To build a “dream home” to his plan;

So wide; so long; made of such.

Provided “turn key” for $o much.

They discuss, then walk away

To return some pleasant, future day

Fully expecting their house to be

Created, completed, specifically!

Oh, how much more to trust the Son

Who’s gone away to prepare us one.

One. Fine. Home. Beyond that star

It’ll exceed expectations so very far

Unlike a mortal building “G. C.”

Christ will add details up to the “T.”

Personal tastes? He knows how to please

Sparing nothing – and – done without fee$.

Enjoy your home here with your kin,

But live so clean and holy within,

That you’ll be able soon to own a

Mansion by the Greatest Builder ever known.

Joh 3.36

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life…”

  1. Awakened – we have to be Awakened to our sinful condition before we can be
  2. Born again – only way into Christ’s Kingdom is to be Born into it; then we’re in position to
  3. Consecrate – and let Him fill us with His Holy Spirit.

– eab, 3/26/18

“…The world by professing Christianity is so far from being a less dangerous enemy than it was before, that it has by its favors destroyed more Christians than ever it did by the most violent persecution.”

– Wm Law, /Serious Call…/

There was a past day when many of us heard, “Act your age.” Why is it that many now do not what to look their age? Medical attention is given to remove a wrinkle or two, color is placed on hair (beard/stash?) to look less aged, some may even try dressing like their kids? These do NOT stop aging!

Rom 12.2

“…be not conformed to this world: But. Be. Ye. Transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

(emphasis added)

When a church or school has revival, things change! There are New Priorities! Some new things become normal – some old things are banned. “Spring Revival” means little, unless there’s a change!

“…Ardent love cannot but be zealously obedient.”

– John Fletcher, vol 1

Mans’ body was made to carry the soul;

Not the mind – as Edison said.

Which I’m sure he found out, since he stepped out,

Leaving the living, for the dead.

Yes, the body was made to carry the soul;

The weak to carry the strong,

The shortest lived, its life to give,

To shelter the one that lives long.

– eab, March  1972

Rom 12.20

“…if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:

for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.”

New converts struggle separating sin from temptation. We will be tempted as long as we’re in our right mind, in this life. (Jesus was tempted, Heb 4.15.) Having a bad picture flash into mind is not sin – don’t dwell on it. Having a wicked word come to mind is not sin – don’t say it nor allow it to stay. If you used harmful substances a smell/sight may tempt but as long as you don’t yield you’ve not sinned. Sin involves your will. As long as you don’t agree with a pic, word, action you’ve not sinned!

“…Self — the most popular of all the false gods…”

– William Jennings Bryan, /In His Image/

A friend appears to be advancing in his secular job & he’d like you to rejoice with him. But you know (& others?) that when he was on a mountaintop spiritually (in the past) he testified of a call to preach or evangelize. His new position is the opposite of his call. A discerning soul cannot rejoice in such advancement. It may represent his enslavement to “the American dream”.
