Rom 8.1

“[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,

who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.”

“…unfaithful minister…for the sake of their gold, for love of their applause, he witheld the message, he failed God. He became a popular preacher but he awakes in Eternity…lost.”

– George B Kulp

We probably all have a friend who will dot i’s like we do, but refuses to cross t’s like us. (You may even have a friend who wants to dot your t’s & cross your i’s. J) Don’t let such friends upset you. God LOVES INDIVIDUALITY. (The sooner we get this-much-like-Him, the easier life will be.) He made you different from every one of your many friends. The Lord of Heaven & Earth has made billions of people: alike in the sense of head, torso, limbs, yet different in many, ways. Enjoy His creativity! – 4/16/20

“…the church…goes into shows & frolics & festivals & fairs,

which destroy the spiritual life of the young as well as the old.”

– Martin Wells Knapp

Josiah the king did what was right

In the Lord God of Israel’s sight.

He oversaw Temple repair,

Made Baal’s worshippers feel despair,

Serving the Lord with heart, soul, & might.

Be honest with me. What good does that chain do hanging around your neck? “It’s 24 karat gold.” Would you answer my question. “It was grandma’s.” Please answer the above question. “Well, I get so many compliments on it.” Now, we’re getting closer to an answer – you wear it to get compliments, wear it to get attention. Why does a man want to get attention? What does a woman (if happily married) want attention? Jewelry tends to draw attention to us, to our body. – 4/16/20

“Cursed be all that learning that is contrary to the cross of Christ.”

– James Madison, been called “A primary author of the constitution of the USA.”

Luk 6.35

“…Love ye your enemies & do good & lend, hoping for nothing again; & your reward shall be great, & ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful & to the evil.”

“Your life as a Christian should make nonbelievers question their disbelief in God.”

– Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Our Lord’s words, “Love your enemies…” are tough words. You’d better believe they are! They may seem even tougher in *tough times.* But – – – ready for this? If Christianity does not work in *tough times* it doesn’t work at all. May the Lord help you – May the Lord help me, to pray for & YES, even love enemies in times when the human in us, “the American” in us, is tempted to impatience. Amen? Ouch? – 4/16/20
