The Bible

Within this awful volume lies

Walter Scott, Sir was born this date, 8/15/1771 in Edinburgh, Scotland.  He is well known as the author of Ivanhoe.  He  also wrote Rob Roy, and Quentin Durward

and “The Lady in the Lake.”  Scott died 9/21/1832.
