Translation Trouble – Mark 16.9-20 (all 12 verses)

AV has them all, as It should – see John William

Burgon’s (born in Smyrna, 1813) book, The Last

Twelve Verses of the Gospel of Mark (400 pages),

where he proves this section WAS in the original

NIV has a line separating these last 12 verses from

the text.  Under this line it reads: “[The two most

reliable early manuscripts do not have Mark 16:9-20.]”

NIV readers, Do you know that The Jehovah’s

Witness “Bible” ALSO places these verses in an

appendix of sorts.  Similarity with a cult?

Translation Trouble – Mar 11.26

AV   “But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

NIV   This entire verse omitted.

Why read a misshaped “Bible”?

Worse – why defend a misshaped “Bible”?

Translation Trouble – Mat 18.11

AV  “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.”

The NIV leaves out the entire verse –

it omits this wonderful truth, the

reason Christ came, to be our Savior.

This is sad and should be alarming to

NIV readers.  What else is missing? ! ?

Translation Trouble – Rom 16.24

AV “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

NIV – verse is completely, hear it

“Bible” also has it erased.  Why?

And WHY is NIV like the JW “Bible”?

Of what else are you NIV readers

being robbed?

Translation Trouble – 1 Joh 5.7

AV “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

NIV  For there are three that testify

The incomplete NIV leaves out the last

15 words of the verse.  What is this but

an attack on the Trinity?  Trinity is

NOT a “created” doctrine but has many

NT proofs.  Most cults disallow this

teaching in some way.

Translation Trouble – 1Thessalonians 1.1

AV   “…Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

NIV   …Grace and peace to you.

NIV is (again) omitting words – and

these are NOT just any words.

The NIV has omitted “God” “Father”

& “Lord Jesus Christ.”  (Yes, I see

them above but they “edited them out”

at the end of the verse.)  Many, many,

words are missing from the NIV

(and other mis-translations.)

Translation Trouble – Jam 5.16

AV “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed…”

NIV   Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed…

Why has the NIV changed “faults” to

“sins”?  Think.  Who?  What religious

system has people confessing their

sins to a man, instead of God?  God

and God alone can forgive sins.
