Translation Trouble – Rom 16.24

AV “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

NIV – verse is completely, hear it

COMPLETELY missing.

It will interest

some that the Jehovah’s Witness

“Bible” also has it erased.  Why?

And WHY is NIV like the JW “Bible”?

Of what else are you NIV readers

being robbed?

Translation Trouble – 1 Joh 5.7

AV “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

NIV  For there are three that testify

The incomplete NIV leaves out the last

15 words of the verse.  What is this but

an attack on the Trinity?  Trinity is

NOT a “created” doctrine but has many

NT proofs.  Most cults disallow this

teaching in some way.

Translation Trouble – 1Thessalonians 1.1

AV   “…Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

NIV   …Grace and peace to you.

NIV is (again) omitting words – and

these are NOT just any words.

The NIV has omitted “God” “Father”

& “Lord Jesus Christ.”  (Yes, I see

them above but they “edited them out”

at the end of the verse.)  Many, many,

words are missing from the NIV

(and other mis-translations.)

Translation Trouble – Jam 5.16

AV “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed…”

NIV   Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed…

Why has the NIV changed “faults” to

“sins”?  Think.  Who?  What religious

system has people confessing their

sins to a man, instead of God?  God

and God alone can forgive sins.

Translation Trouble – Luk 11.2

AV “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”

NIV  He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.”

Why does the NIV remove “Our,”

such a personal pronoun?

Why does the NIV remove “Heaven”?

 TWICE?

Does this relate to some man ON EARTH

being called “father”?

Translation Trouble – Act 28.29

AV “And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.”

Verse is totally omitted in NIV, RSV, BBE, TCNT, Weymouth & in italics (as if not original) in ASV.

When I was a boy there was a colloquial

expression – “So-n-So is not ALL

THERE.”  Why, readers of the above,

WHY continue to use a “Bible that is

not all there” when you can read the

Classic AV?

Seriously?

Translation Trouble – Mat 19.9

AV “And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery, and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.”

NIV  I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

The NIV changes the meaning by turning

“fornication” (pre-marital sex and/or perversion)

into “marital unfaithfulness” (adultery/illicit sexual

relationships after marriage).  These are NOT the

same.  The NIV also leaves out the last part of the

verse: “and whoso marrieth her which is put away

doth commit adultery.”  (Time after time “adultery”

is directly linked to a new “marriage” in the AV.)

Divorce and remarriage are said to be as prevalent

inside the church as out – this is a fairly new

development.  Does its increase relate to

“translations” which are easier on this sin?

Translation Trouble – Act 2.1

AV “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”

NIV When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

The impoverished NIV reading is not

given the term “one accord.”  Webster

says “accord” means “To bring into

agreement.”  “Together” physically,

is not the same as “agreement” as

anyone knows who has seen a home

disagreement.  Significant?  Surely!

Translation Trouble – Heb 9.11

AV “…good things to come…”

NIV …good things that are already here…

There are earthlings who are trying

to make a heaven of this decaying earth.

Are the  NIV translators among such?

The above could sound like a plea

for the NOW and/or an ignoring

of the glory YET TO BE !!!

Translation Trouble – Mar 13.14

AV “But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:”

NIV When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong–let the reader understand–then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”

NIV leaves out “spoken of by Daniel

the prophet.” WHY? Why does the

NIV omit New Testament references

to the fulfillment of Old Testament

prophecy?  Happenstance?
